TEEN PREGNANCY-
Cynthia, age 15
Too many teenagers in our generation are becoming pregnant and giving birth. Many teens don't plan it, it just happens. Becoming pregnant is an extremely difficult process, it takes strength, dedication, knowledge, love, ect.

According to pregnanteenhelp.org the United States has the highest rates of teen pregnancy and births in the western industrialized world. Teen pregnancy costs the United States at least $7 billion annually.
Also from pregnantteenhelp.org check out these statistics that make you say, WOW!"

-750,000 teens will get pregnant a year
-Unmarried teenagers having children account for 24 percent of all unmarried expectant mothers.
-More than 2/3 of all teenagers who have a baby will not graduate from high school.
-Billions of dollars are spent taking care of teenage mothers and their children and they are more likely to be in the poverty bracket. On the flip side, millions of dollars are spent in prevention programs.

On a good note, teen pregnancy has been declining since the 1990's.
To prevent teen pregnancy, the best way is have safe sex or staying abstinence.
